Thank you to the Committee for inviting me to judge at the 2025 Pinto Horse Association of NSW National Show.
A pony owner and competitor for 40+ years, over the years I have had the privilege to judge at shows in Qld, Tasmania, Western Australia and here in Victoria.
I have been very fortunate to meet many generous people over the years who allowed me to show their ponies, as well as my own. Showing ponies at Royal level, breed shows and Agricultural shows has been a passion of mine and although not driven as much these days, I still enjoy showing my Aussie pony mare, along with my home bred APSB Part Breds.
When I first got back to showing, a judge said to me while placing the 1st ribbon on my pony, "I always place what I'd like at home in my own paddock".....this has held stead to me over the years, and is a mantra I tend to think about when judging.
